TRY TWINKLE! Spring 2024-25
Intown Conservatory of Music
Try Twinkle! is a group violin class for students in PreK-4 through Kindergarten. PreK-3 students may also register with special permission from the instructor and will be in the PreK-4/Kindergarten class.
In this class, children can expect to:
Learn to play songs on the violin
Write music
Read music
Learn about music history
Perform with others
Have a GREAT time!

Class will be held from 1:30 – 2:30 PM on Wednesdays. There will be no violin class on holidays. A full calendar will be published before class begins.
Students will begin to learn to play using paper violins. They will graduate to real instruments once they can properly care for the instrument, have learned beautiful posture, and can create a beautiful bow hold. Students will be sent home after each class with songs to practice, notes to read, and games to play. Instructional videos will be available on the Practice Space app to assist parents with home practice.
Try Twinkle! is $540 per term per student. Parents will be responsible for acquiring an instrument once students graduate from paper violins. Intown Conservatory will assist you in finding the best rental or purchase.
Enrollment Includes:
- Learning Together Book 1 with CD
- Paper Violin and Dowel Bow
- Supplemental Activity Notebook and handouts
- Access to the Practice Space app with Practice Videos, instructions, and games
Additional fees: $95 materials fee and $60 registration fee.
Enrollment does not include violin rental or purchase, which will be necessary approximately 6-8 weeks into the class. Instruments must be rented from our approved vendor. Any exceptions must be approved by the instructor.
There are no refunds for missed classes, but students will have access to everything they missed by using the Practice Space app.
