Violin and Viola Instructor
Dr. Rogelio Bonilla
With a passion for both performing and teaching, Dr. Rogelio Bonilla has established himself as a dedicated violist, violinist, and music educator. He has performed in several esteemed festivals, such as Brevard Music Festival, Chamber Music Athens, and the Georgia Festival of Music. He currently serves as the principal violist of the Lawrenceville Symphony Orchestra, ARCO Chamber Orchestra, and the Atlanta Contemporary Music Collective.
Dr. Bonilla holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Georgia State University. He fulfilled his student teaching responsibilities at Ramstein High School in Ramstein, Germany, through the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) education system. In addition to his academic and performance accomplishments, Dr. Bonilla is a certified Suzuki Method instructor and teaches both violin and viola. He closely follows the “Every Child Can” principal which emphasizes that all children have the potential of learning and developing successful musical abilities in a supportive and consistent
