Violinist, Violin Instructor
Sheila Mortlock
Sheila began playing as a high school student and has continued to embrace the love of violin as an adult. She studied violin under Felix Farrar and Tramaine Jones, with the Atlanta Opera orchestra. She holds an English degree from The University of West Georgia and has extensive classroom experience.
Since graduating, she has performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York City and The Kennedy Center in Washington DC. She has been blessed to play with many prominent artists such as CeCe Winans, Michael W Smith, Larnelle Harris, The Collingsworth Family, Greater Vision, and many more. She is currently a member of The Atlanta Musician’s Orchestra, True North Presents, and First Baptist Atlanta.
Sheila loves witnessing her students’ growth, from their first hesitant notes to expressive, confident playing. She believes learning to play the violin has the power to transform lives, instilling discipline, creativity, and emotional depth.
